Hi, I am running for the position of Chair-Elect in the California Section of the American Chemical Society. The following contact information is provided so that you know where I work and how to contact me.

If you are a teacher and would like me to visit your class and talk about my life as a chemist feel free to ask. I have been known to take a day or two off from work and talk about anything and everything related to chemistry and life to every science class or chemistry class in a school at all grade levels from grade school through high school.

I would also like to encourage all other chemists with an interest in students, teaching, and chemistry to make themselves available to our science teachers for classroom interaction with their students. Whenever possible, since I am male, I try to convince a female chemist to come along for the visit so that the students can see some differences between not only two different chemists but also obtain some possible insight into the differences and similarities between male and female chemists and their views upon the profession.
